Whoa, That Thing Is HUGE!

I thought that title might get some attention! It's what my husband said last night when he walked into the room as I was putting the last round on this 18" wide, 6" high project keeper.

I LOVE the way this turned out, and look forward to making her lid this week. I'll show one last photo with the lid before I wrap her up and send her off to her new home :)

Well... that sure is beautiful, and I can't believe I am the lucky person getting that gorgeous piece!!

It sure is HUGE... it will hold all of my crafting junk on the table in my living room, so everything will be in one place and neatly kept!

What am I working on..... let's see, designing new motifs for my dog sweater business, an order of 8 boutique sweaters, and more stuff than I can handle.... just the way I like it!

Thanks Jennie, that picture made my day!!

That looks great! Perfect for a crafter...we all have too much stuff :)

Right now I'm working on a knitted photo album, it's sort of an experiment but I love the yarn I got to use! 100% pale pink angora knit into a pretty little lace design. I'll be posting a blog about it in a few days.

Your awesome site has inspired me to make my own rag rug. It's my first, and possibly my last! Any advice? www.babyluvgifts.blogspot.com

How exciting, babyluv!! I have found that it is much easier to buy your fabrics and try to arrange them in order before starting. I made a rectangular rug earlier this year and just added as I went...it came out really pretty, but it was stressful trying to balance lights and darks and textures, etc. The more you think about the look you want to achieve before you even get going, the more enjoyable it will be, IMO. Also, for me, I can't imagine ever buying new fabric for a rag rug. If this is for you, you have a wonderful opportunity to fill it with memories...clothes and blankets from your family...and balance it with cotton bedsheets found at the local secondhand store- a GREAT source of lots of beautiful materials to repurpose! Man, I'm going on and on- don't ever hesitate to contact me with any questions...I'd love to help if I can- even just to give you some moral support. It will be totally worth it!! Have fun!!

Jennie, you are so talented! And you're right....it's HUGE! I look forward to seeing the gigantic lid. :-)

Right now I'm working on building up inventory for the upcoming craft show. I'm busy making origami lucky stars, pendants and magnets, bracelets, and earrings.
