Thursday's Treasure

~*~
It's adventure time!  A getaway is much needed, and we are preparing to do just that.  This is a photo from Flag Ponds, where my family and I will be spending Easter weekend.  You can read a little more about the park HERE if you are so inclined :)  I hope to have some photos and finds to share next week.  Hope you are enjoying these first days of spring!

Makeover Monday: 3/25

~*~
Hope you aren't tired of Easter baskets!  After much deliberation, my last basket customer decided on a bucket style girl basket in pale pink, with some striping and bow in this pretty vintage print.

~*~
This may be one of my favorites of all time- and I've made quite a few of these over the years.  I adore the feminine color and bit of whimsy in the print.  I left the bow long because it hangs so sweetly.  This one is headed to California today!

My Favorite Things

When you are sick and cooped up in the house for days, and your mom says you need a break from electronics, you can always make yourself a drawing of your favorite things!  I love that Sophie had the idea to do this on her own.  Her choices are so very interesting, too.  What would be on your list?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

~*~
I don't know about you, but I could sure use some sunshine!  These pretty yellow fabrics will be hitting the sosovintage shelves soon.  Most will have yardage available, and I am going to offer this as a discounted bundle as well.  Happy weekend, my friends!

Wednesday's Works

~*~
Here is the ruffled dot girly basket that I finished this week.  This one is heading off to New Mexico!  I have one more basket to finish, and one more order pending.  Easter basket orders started off slow, but then came in with a bang over the last couple of weeks.  It's hard when Easter comes early I think.  It sneaks up on you!
~*~

~*~
I'm also working on an order of 50 of these sweet cream bunnies to be used at a baby shower in April.  Isn't that a cute favor idea?
~*~
I have gathered all of my hay bale fabric and rough cut the 50 covers.  Now I need to do the final trim.  These are scheduled to ship out by the end of the month.
~*~
I feel like there's something else I've been working on, but I forget what I was going to share.  Oh well, just working on life I guess.  That's enough sometimes, isn't it?

Makeover Monday:3/18

~*~
With Easter right around the corner, the basket orders are still rolling in.  Two years ago I made a green and white Easter basket for a little girl in Tennessee.  Now she has a baby brother, and her mom wanted to go with green and white again.  It was important to make his different and more "masculine", however, so we decided on more of a bucket shape with a couple of stripes as well.

~*~
How sweet did this turn out?!  Part of what I love about working with fabric is never knowing 100% what the finished product will actually look like.  It's usually a wonderful surprise!
~*~
Two more baskets to go and 50 bale covers to cut before spring break.  I really needed today to not be a snow day, but at least now I have errand running company :)

Saint Pat's Sunday

~*~
There are very few "things" that I love more than vintage greeting cards.  This sweet specimen came to me from my Aunt Irene in Michigan- she knows just exactly what makes me smile!
~*~
~*~
One thing I'll always love more than anything, though, is Sophie's creations.  The kit for these also came from Aunt Irene.  You can see why we look so forward to our monthly Michigan packages!

Wishing Geri and family a happy, happy birthday celebration.  This Irish prayer is for you, for me, for my friends and family, and for everyone reading this right now!
