I started with this big, beautiful stack of shabby pink fabrics...
...and I am sooooooooo close to being finished with this custom oval rag rug. I have one more row to go, and it will be ready to fly off to its new home in New Jersey.

Next big projects: 26 small stars with 2009 charms, 20 yellow upcycled stars, and a rectangular rag rug to complement the green mezzaluna that I made a few weeks ago. Fun!!

Hi Jennie,
oohhh, I like this a lot. What's the measurement on this rug? and may I ask how much do you charge for this piece?
Hi Evelyn! Thanks for your comment! It will measure 42 inches long, 24 inches wide when it is finished, though I can easily adjust the size. This particular one is $60 plus shipping, but as I made it I realized I really underpriced myself. The oval rugs I have made in the past were not as plush- this is a newly created pattern. It should be closer to $75 for the fabric and work involved. Hubby is going to help me reevaluate my formula!
Those fabrics are gorgeous, and the rug makes me think of peppermint candy! :)
BOY I LOVE THAT RUG!!!!! Not only is it beautiful, it's so practical! There is nothing on this earth that says "HOME" like a rag rug! Marvelous!
Stunningly gorgeous, as always. I can't wait to see your upcoming projects. :-)
