Makeover Monday: 5/3

I started with this large ball of fabric cut from an elegant, faded cotton bedsheet.
~*~
I used the entire sheet to create this large shallow basket. It measures 13.5" wide and rises to about 2" tall. This would make a perfect resting spot for mail and other odds and ends on a hall table, kitchen counter, or dresser. I pondered this color for quite awhile, and have finally settled on twilight...it's that perfect lavender blue that colors the air at dusk- mysterious and calm. Just like me. Hahahahaha!
~*~
On a separate note, I am trying to compile a list of "FAQ" for my sosorosey profile. Do you have any questions that, as a customer, you would wonder about my items? If so, PLEASE share them in the comment section- it would help me bunches.

Thanks so much for stopping by- Happy Monday to all :)

  3. Such a beautiful bowl, color, and name. :-)

    Hmmm.....as far as questions go.....

I know that I can spot treat, but what happens if I desperately need to throw my wonderful sosorosey item in the washer? Will it survive?

Can I request a certain laundry scent or linen spray for my item?

How long do your items take to make?

Can I purchase a pattern from you?

Can I send you my sheets/pillowcases/dresses/shirts to be made into an item?

Are your trivets safe for high-heat items?

That's all I've got for the moment.

  5. I like CelticKnot's question: Can I purchase a pattern? Or some kind of tutorial with pix maybe. So curious to know the following: how do you prepare vintage fabric? how do you cut fabric for crocheting? what size hook do you most often use? and how about the ruffle trick you do--I can't figure it out!

You really should put together your very own little how-to book with pix and descriptions. You are a superb writer; your pictures are always clear. I would buy it sight unseen! I demand a sosorosey book! LOL

I want to know how much fabric do you use to make say a small bowl say 6" and how long to make it?
