Daily Dose of Cute

There is something so special to me about vintage greeting cards. I wonder what it is? These three birthday cards are excellent examples of "things I couldn't walk away from". I lucked out at the little hospital charity thrift the other day... I found 25 assorted vintage cards from someone's collection at the amazing price of 10 cents each. I'll take a thrift store over Macy's any day of the week!!

  1. i love the rabbit one with the mushroom! but they are all so cute! I must ask....where do you find all of your great treasures? I look everywhere in antique shops, and they just dont offer the cutesy things at all? antique stores always have the higher prices too...of course the city I live in is composed of about 250,000 people, it's fairly large I should be bound to find something right?! ahhh the frustrations! I am even looking for some vintage bedsheets to collect, but I also have no such luck either.....

  2. Lauren-
I'm a thrift shop girl! You must have a Goodwill or a Salvation Army- those are the big chain thrift stores in the US. You can also google thrift stores in your area to find some others. Sometimes the smaller ones are awesome! Beware though- once you start shopping at thrift stores, you'll be addicted!!

  3. Here you go, Lauren- this link is fabulous!! It lists all of the thrift shops in your area, with addresses and hours, etc. http://www.thethriftshopper.com/city/Lincoln/NE/1.htm

Any other thriftaholics out there, use the link and plug in your own city- it's a great resource!

  7. Jen is the QUEEN of finding "stuff" whereever she shops! I know...we shop together sometimes and I find nothing of interest and she hauls her goodies right past me!!! Amazing shopper, craftswoman, and daughter!
