Karen- I think it's a floral pick- it's barbed at the top of the stick, like you'd put it in styrofoam. It would look cute on a cake, Lauren- good idea!

I found this little bit of adorableness while thrifting this week. Who could pass up a vintage, flocked, blue-eyed kitty on a stick? For 40 cents. But, um, what do you suppose one would do with this?
