Thursday's Treasure

Yes that IS what you think it is! An orange enamelware pedestal egg cup! Before you shoot me thinking I was lucky enough to thrift this, sloooooooooow down. I treated myself to a walk through the closest antique mall the other day, and this is what I came out with. $7.50 felt a little steep- a real splurge. But I've never seen one like it. It makes me happy, and that's just priceless, right? What was your most recent "happy" purchase?

  1. It's pretty. But you know, in 50 years of life I personally have never seen anyone use an egg cup. I like this one tho.

  3. I love this egg cup Jennie :0)
I think I would have splurged on it too.

We often use egg cups here...maybe it's more an English thing than American. -But when I actually think of people using egg cups, it seem a bit 'posh' to me :0)

(by the way, I am by no means 'posh' lol)

    Take care xxx

  8. PD- the widget is "add blog list"... then it gives you the option to configure blog list. Check "show thumbnail" and the pic will show up... hope that helps...

  9. When I was a kid, my parents used egg cups for soft boiled eggs (I didn't like them, the eggs that way, I mean.)

I haven't gotten any new treasures for awhile. I did purchase some blue wire for a custom order, which I treasure.
