Vinspiration Part 2

This vintage washcloth by Pequot was such a lucky find last week.  I found its mate as well!  The blues are so scrumptious together that I had a new burst of vinspiration.
~*~
I rounded up two blue cottons- a blue-violet and a robin's egg and crocheted one of my fancified double thick coaster/trivets.  These are 8.5" in diameter and protect surfaces beautifully.  The Muse customers seem to like these, so I'll add a few more color options in sosorosey to see if Etsy people will like them too!

Something New

Ever since crocheting the double-stranded stars, I've been on a double-stranded kick. For you non-crocheters, this means that instead of just using one ball of yarn, I've been using two at a time. Not only does it help me make a dent in my gigantic cotton yarn stash, but it allows me to choose fun colors and make new combinations. I made this large coaster one night, and have been building up quite the inventory ever since. I love the heft of the added thickness, and this size is perfect to use under pitchers, potted plants, or casseroles. Pretty protection for any surface! I'm about ready to start listing them in sosorosey... here's hoping people love them as much as I love making them.

Thursday's Treasure: Mother's Day Ready

There isn't much that makes me happier than finding a way to create something unique that is both fun and functional. And if it serves multiple purposes? Well, that's just pure bliss!
~*~
Just in time for spring and Mother's Day, please welcome the upcycled wallflower. Crocheted entirely from freshly laundered, repurposed fabrics, these are a super fun way to really *go green*!
~*~

While it's certainly no thrill to BE a wallflower, having or giving one of these is a sure way to celebrate the pure and simple joy of the growing season.

~*~

At a generous 8" diameter, the wallflower can be a coaster/trivet under your favorite beverage, potted plant, pitcher or casserole. When not in use, it brightens up a hook or wall space with a touch of color and splash of whimsy.

Fun idea: order a set and decorate an entire sunporch wall or child's room! Happily made to order in any color under the sun :)
