Perhaps this peach does not look like heaven from the outside. I'll admit, it took me awhile to warm up to the squashy, lumpy shape of the "UFO" or "donut" peach. We had our first one a couple of years ago, and now we wait excitedly for the first crop to appear on farm stand shelves. This week, they arrived!

Regular peaches, while delicious, just do not compare to this amazing variety. To me they taste like a perfect blend of peach and plum. So sweet, so juicy. No mush. Have you had them? Have you ever even seen them? Do you have another odd looking fruit to recommend? Please share!
