Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

~*~
Three out of five of this week's pretties are new to me.  How many are new to you?  These roses, daisies, and geraniums are perfect for the weather we're having this week.  It has been in the 90s and feels like August instead of May!!  Wishing you all a happy, refreshing weekend :)

It's that time of year when everything in the forest is wet and green.  These five *new* fabrics are an ode to springtime... look for them in sosovintage soon!

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Feeling rather delicate this week, so I thought I would share some fabrics that express this perfectly.  The colors and details of these are just beautiful!  Look for them in sosovintage soon :)

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Happy March!  In honor of the new month, I have some new vintage fabrics in greens, blues and yellows to share:
~*~

~*~
The green stripe is 100% cotton, and the rest are 50/50.  Most of these are first time sosovintage acquisitions, and I'm always excited to add some freshness to the shop shelves.
~*~
Here's hoping this month brings warm weather, blue skies and happy days to us all :)

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

~*~
This week's fabrics feature unique patterns and bold colors!  The one on the far left has a blue honeycomb pattern, and the one with the butterfly has blue paisleys scattered throughout.  I figured these were just the ones to post to help us get though this "limbo" time.  It isn't winter and it isn't spring.  We're tired of cold weather and ready for the warmth and change of a new season.  Or is that just me?
~*~
This week's treasure post is postponed until this weekend.  Sophie and the other "quality students" from each grade level were honored in a special breakfast this morning.  I need to go through my pictures to see if I got any that are not blurry.  It was a lovely occasion, and really nice of the teachers and staff to do such a nice job of rewarding these kids for their daily efforts.  We could all use more of that, in my opinion!

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

It has been a blue kind of week around here.  These blue fabrics are of the beautiful variety, though!
~*~
~*~
The second one down is 100% cotton- one of the prettiest striped fabrics I've seen.  I found both the flat and fitted sheets of that one, so there is plenty to go around.  The last one is an all time favorite.  I've been fortunate to find it several times, and it always brings a smile to my face.
~*~
We're in for a cold and windy weekend, but the blizzard pounding the northeast has left us alone.  For that we are thankful!  Wishing all of our New England people well during this crazy weather.

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Welcome, February!  I am always so very happy to see this time of year arrive.  In honor of the month of love, here are a few pretties in shades of pinks and purples:
~*~
~*~
There ARE purple dots in the last one, but they might be hard to see :)
~*~
Here's wishing you a fabulous weekend!  No big plans around here except to continue the decluttering efforts and watch the Superbowl on Sunday.  How about you?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Happy Friday!  It's been one crazy week, and it will be followed by another.  It seems the school schedule is changing by the minute due to weather and teacher workdays at the end of the quarter.  Just trying to go with the flow over here, and keep up with my crochet orders.
~*~
The major USPS 2013 price hike goes into effect 1/27, and it is throwing a monkey wrench into my plans for the weekend.  I need to find the best way to update over 800 listings with accurate shipping prices- and fast.  International shipping is going up over 100% to many countries!  Arghh.
~*~
Let's have some sweet cottage goodness to calm things down, shall we?
~*~
I can't pick a favorite this week!  The rose one is made all the sweeter with the dots, isn't it?  I've had the pink, yellow and aqua colorways of the middle sheet, but this pretty green is new to me.  And the elephants?  Who can pass up pink elephants?
~*~
If you're looking for me this weekend, I'll be chained to my computer.  How about you?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

It's been a dreary week in general, but the sun is shining today and who doesn't love a bold, bright vintage fabric?  Check out these loud lovelies :
The top fabric is actually from a homemade duvet cover, and it looks to be 100% cotton.  I have the middle one in the blue/green and pink colorways, so it's nice to have this one for the collection.  This last one is flaming hot and just like new.
~*~
~*~
Also, I've put together another January bundle of fat quarters.  Just like the last one, these 10 first quality fabric fat quarters are being offered as a set at 20% off the single fq price.  I have February's first bundle just about ready to go, too.  Pinks and reds and purples... yum!
~*~
We have a holiday weekend here in the US, so no school for Sophie on Monday.  No big plans, either.  How about you?  Anything special on your weekend agenda?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds...Yes!

A big, big thank you going out to Kiley for her html trick to uploading pictures.  I wonder if it will be this way from now on?  In any case, here are the new goods coming to the soso-shelves soon:

~*~
I've actually had 2 of these three fabrics before, but it's been awhile.  The gold floral in the middle also looks vaguely familiar- I think I had it in a different colorway.  Maybe blue?  Or green?  Not sure, but they are all lovely and I have bunches if you have a big project in mind.
~*~
~*~
AND!  Look at this sweet bundle of fat quarters just waiting for a new owner!  I've decided to make bundles of the month for sosovintage, and I hope they are a success.  For January, I'm going with the color blue.  This first bundle will be a "one of a kind" because it includes a couple of fabrics that I no longer have available.  It is first quality fabric being sold as a set (no substitutions) for 20% off the price of individual fats.  No further discounts apply to this purchase.  Still, 10 for $20 with just $5 US shipping... can't beat that, right?  I can tell I'm going to love making these combos.  I have other ideas in the works, and would love to hear any requests you fabric lovers may have :)

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

One last fabric finds post of 2012...*sniff*.  No worries, though- as long as there are people who love these fabrics as much as I do, I'll continue to hunt them down!
~*~

~*~
I'm partial to #1 and #4 this week, but the pansies are always a hit, too.  The super saturated gold vine/stripe was a neat find- I have had the blue colorway and it's always cool to see the difference that a palette switch makes.
~*~
Since this is the last fabric post of the year, I'm wondering- what was your favorite sewing project of 2012?  What did you make that had you drooling over your own work?  Or jumping around at the gorgeousness of a finished project?  I'd love to hear the details in the comments.  Knowing what all of you talented sewing people can do keeps my imagination soaring :)

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

I've been a shopping~wrapping~crafting little elf this week, and it's hard to believe the days have gone by so quickly!  Here's a little eye candy to help you make it through the last push toward Christmas :)
~*~

~*~
The first one is my favorite, but I love the last one, too.  The 3rd one down I'm calling "geometric southwestern patchwork".  And would you believe that #2 was designed by Bill Blass?  So designer!
~*~
We have Girl Scout Christmas caroling tomorrow, and we also have a Christmas tree that still needs ornaments.  Gonna break out the hot cocoa and have a blast!  How about you?  What's in the works for the weekend?  Do tell!

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

TGIF!!  I am so looking forward to a weekend of getting lots accomplished.  Filling up the new fridge, making teacher gifts and crafting with my sweet girl, setting up the Christmas tree, and wrapping packages to be sent near and far.  Daddy has promised us a nice toasty fire on Saturday, and Sophie is looking forward to using her special candy cane/marshmallow/chocolate swizzle stick for a cup of hot cocoa.
~*~
Here are some pretty flowers and leaves to kick off your weekend:

How are the holiday preparations shaping up around your house?

Come on back tomorrow to see how I decided to cope with the craft show doldrums :)

Friday's Favorite Fabric Find

~*~
80's cartoon print sheets are more popular than I ever could have imagined.  Strawberry Shortcake lovers abound, but Garfield is pretty sought after as well.  This sheet is a vibrant periwinkle, and it has kind of a mod feel to the rainbow graphics.
~*~
I'm letting this handsome boy take center stage for today, but I have lots of new fabrics to share next week.  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Loads of pretty flowers this week!
~*~

~*~
It's more rare to find mint green in vintage sheets, so I have to say the last one is my fave this week.  Fabric number 2 is 100% cotton, and that is a rarity as well.  I've had #1 and #4 before, but these are really beautiful fabrics that I was happy to find again.  If I remember correctly, #3 is a designer sheet-  Bill Blass I think.  Love those dainty dots and tendrils.
~*~
What's on the agenda for the weekend in your neck of the woods?  Here we will be finishing up a big school project and preparing for our Thanksgiving trip and birthday celebrations next week!

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

TGIF, Friends!  Here are the four new fabrics coming to sosovintage this weekend:
~*~

~*~
I'm partial to the wavy pink gingham, how about you?
~*~
Monday is Veteran's Day, so Sophia has a 3 day weekend.  We have lots of errand running and projects to do, but the weather is supposed to be nice, so maybe some outside time will be in order as well.  I have a couple of wreath projects to highlight this weekend, so do stop back by and see the lovelies that my good friend Karen has created!
