Makeover Monday 6/1

I fell in love with the colors in this sheet, but I had no idea how they would distribute themselves once the fabric was cut and crocheted.

What a nice surprise! I am amazed at how balanced and bright this table coaster turned out- like a poppy field pinwheel under a blazing summer sky. Look for it in my shop later today, and don't forget the *blog reader only* free shipping sale going on NOW!

Makeover Monday 5/18

I've been in such a *bright* mood lately; this jersey knit cotton pillowcase was just the thing I felt like working with last night.

Check out the cool, patchworky result! This cutie is super colorful and quirky, and would be such a treat to use as a special coffee coaster each morning. It measures over 6" wide, but it doesn't seem to want to lay totally flat...I guess it would curl up like a little hug for your mug :)

Custom Order Part III

Here she is at 18" across! With only 6 more inches to go, I am now able to figure out exactly how many rows and stitches I have left. I have planned out the rest of the colors, and am on track for being able to present the finished product to my customer on Tuesday. Yippee!

Custom Order- Part II

It keeps growing, and growing! This was taken over the weekend, at about 14" in diameter. Every inch is slow going now, but I am loving this project! What do you think?

Anda Found Me Again :)

Anda is an Etsy admin who featured one of my bowls in her "finds of the week" back in June. That gave me huge exposure, and I was so grateful to her. I learned then that she is also from Virginia, so we have that little something in common.

This morning, when I glanced down at the article clips that scroll across when you click on *community*, my eye was drawn to the trivets pictured, and the words "travelling to Virginia". I clicked to see the whole article, and guess what? My stripey table coaster rug is featured in the photo collage at the bottom of the page. Now that's a nice way to start the day!
