I've wanted to make a hanging basket for a long time, and decided to try to make one in the general style of an antique fisherman's carrier. While this one can serve many purposes, I love the idea of hanging it in your office area or by the front door to hold mail. Anything that keeps clutter off of the workspace is a good thing, right?

Wow--between your Fisherman's Carrier and my husband's fishing plugs, we have mental telepathy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Jennie! I like the new design. How big is it?
ReplyDeleteI know, right, Victoria?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kristine! At it's longest it is 7" and at the widest point, 7.5".
Turned out great! And a good size too. how do you hang it up?
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS! What a wonderful original creation! I love it! I see this "hanging antique styled Fisherman's Carrier" flying off the shelf! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi Schar- thank you! It is hanging in the photo- just on a hook through one of the crocheted loops. You got me thinking, though... I may play around with a length of fabric and see how that looks...
ReplyDeleteYour lips to someone's ears, Jinka :)
