Makeover Monday:3/18

~*~
With Easter right around the corner, the basket orders are still rolling in.  Two years ago I made a green and white Easter basket for a little girl in Tennessee.  Now she has a baby brother, and her mom wanted to go with green and white again.  It was important to make his different and more "masculine", however, so we decided on more of a bucket shape with a couple of stripes as well.

How sweet did this turn out?!  Part of what I love about working with fabric is never knowing 100% what the finished product will actually look like.  It's usually a wonderful surprise!

Two more baskets to go and 50 bale covers to cut before spring break.  I really needed today to not be a snow day, but at least now I have errand running company :)

Makeover Monday: 3/1

I started with the *chosen* fabric: palest blue with teal and mustard design.

Meet your makeover! You all did such a fabulous job of choosing that I believe I will ask for your help every week. Come back tomorrow to view the fabric choices for next week... and have a marvelous Monday!!!

ps- You convinced me to go ahead and swallow my pride. I took "before" photos of the craft disaster area, and will post my first installment of the craft room makeover series in a week or so. Thanks so much for the encouragement!

Makeover Monday

I began with this vivid vintage "landscape" sheet in browns and blues.

Introducing the boy's heirloom Easter basket! Ecofriendly, one-of-a-kind, and oh so masculine! Large enough to hold more Easter candy than one child could eat; durable enough to withstand the most competitive egg hunt (and hunter). Classic styling and color to grow smoothly from baby to adult. Look for it in sosorosey soon!
