Daily Dose of Cute

Like most creatures, our boy Sinatra has a couple of favorite places to sleep.  And, like most (*fat*) cats he sleeps about 23 hours a day.  This little fuzzy bed in the sunroom is one of his special snuggle spots.  I love to watch him cozy up in it.  Sometimes he is all enclosed, which seems to defy logic because he is so big compared to the bed.  Most times, he has some little kitty part splayed out as he lounges.  It cracked me up to see his leg straight out like this as he was snoozing away.  {Emphasis on "was" since he woke up to give me the eye for encroaching on his space!}  I sure wish I could add sound to this picture, because he also does quite a snore to add to the whole effect.

New Bed

Our big boy got himself in a nasty fight last week that left him with a hurt foot and wounded pride. He has a good scab on the leg now, but we keep finding little tufts of fur on the floor from when the scratch-scabs come loose.

Feeling sad that there wasn't terribly much we could do for the fellow, Sophie and I bought him this warm and furry bed to keep on his favorite chair. He was a little leery of it at first, but now he curls up there and snores away for much of the day while he recuperates. He has a fab view of the bird feeders outside for entertainment, too. Hopefully this recent altercation will help him understand that there is no shame in hiding in the shadows when another cat or fox comes prowling around!

Meow! For the last few evenings, I have been hard at work on this neutral kitty cat bed for a feline friend in New Jersey. I only have 2 or 3 more rows to go, so I should be able to finish it tonight. Thanks so much for bringing your order to sosorosey, Anne... I would LOVE to see a photo of your fur-baby in the bed if you have a chance to send one!

Kitty Bowl- Check!

My first ever custom kitty bed is complete; I love the way this turned out! The flat base is about 12 inches across. The sides go up, out, and curve back in making it 14" across at the opening, and 4" high.

I sure hope Baxter likes his new sleeping quarters. I should know in 2-3 days when the package arrives at its destination. My customer has promised me a photo of the kitty in the bed; I can't wait to see that!
