Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Happy Friday, Friends!  I have a lovely customer in California that makes the most unique projects out of all sorts of vintage fabrics.  She has recently expanded her line to include PJ bottoms and maxi-dresses, and she asked if I had any uncut sheets.  Do I??  These are just a few of the ones I thought she might like.  Hopefully we'll get to see some of these reincarnated :)

How have you been?  What is new in your world?  Please do leave me a comment.  I'm so glad you're here, especially since I have been so absent of late.
~*~
Most of you know this is a time of transition for me and Sophie, and while we are very happy with our new location, things get crazy at times.  I try to stay focused on the "here and now", but I admit that I often think too far ahead and get myself in a dither.  Working on keeping the dithering to a minimum, y'know?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Happy Friday, friends!  I have concluded that I have FAR too many pillowcases to list them individually.  So, I shall be offering them in sets of 3 based on color family or style.  Enjoy the trios... these will be in sosovintage shortly!

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

~*~
There is a nip in the air these days- especially in the evenings and mornings.  Fall comes earlier here than in Virginia, and as you can probably guess, I couldn't be more excited to start a new season.  I am ready to put summer 2013 behind me!
~*~
I've been holding on to these beautiful sheets, waiting for the perfect time to introduce them.  That time is now!  Look for these in sosovintage this weekend... if someone doesn't snatch them up from facebook first :)

Wednesday's Works

~*~
I had a little lull in orders, so I finished my pretty robin's egg rug.  She is SO soft, and a great size- measuring in at 42" long and 28" wide.  Keep or sell, keep or sell?
~*~

~*~
I've also been putting these pretty fabrics together for their debut in sosovintage.  Their pretty spring colors and flowers soothe the soul.
~*~
How about you?  Any works in progress to share?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

~*~
I don't know about you, but I could sure use some sunshine!  These pretty yellow fabrics will be hitting the sosovintage shelves soon.  Most will have yardage available, and I am going to offer this as a discounted bundle as well.  Happy weekend, my friends!

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

~*~
It's been a warm and sunny day today, and I couldn't resist bundling up these new yellow fabrics to share!
These fat quarters will be sold at a discount for the set ($10), or can be purchased individually for $2.50.
~*~
How's the weather where you live?  It was 60 degrees today, yet they are calling for light snow flurries overnight.  Late winter in Virginia is always crazy!

About Time

~*~
It has been eons since I've listed a scrap pack, and my pile is out of control.  I'll be listing them in color groups for the foreseeable future, in one pound bundles.  Here is the first of the pounders in blue.  20 different fabrics, $5 and $5 shipping.  Get 'em while they last :)

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

It's been all about autumn in these parts, but we don't want to forget the flowers!
~*~

~*~
What a hodge podge week we've had.  All three of us have a nasty cold that just doesn't seem to want to let go.  For me, it leaves me tired and feeling like I'm always forgetting something.  Just not quite "all there".
~*~
We have a very busy weekend ahead.  Tonight is Fall Fest at Sophie's school, where the kids get to trick or treat through the halls.  There was a lot of PTA work involved to prepare for this event, and I will be "working" tonight from 530-9ish.  In addition to the regular weekend errands, we are having our carpets professionally cleaned on Saturday.  This will be wonderful to have done, but it promises to add a bit of stress in the doing.  And as for Sunday, well, it sounds like we may have a hurricane/winter storm to contend with!  I'll keep you posted on that one.
~*~
And what do YOU have going on this weekend?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

I lost a day!  But, I'm back with some beautiful yellow and/or blue fabrics to share.  All of these would be absolutely gorgeous as inspiration for a baby boy quilt.
~*~

~*~
The first and last are my personal favorites this week- how about you?
~*~
The leaves are at their peak around here, and fall is in perfect season.  Sophie has been chosen as "Panda of the Week" for her class for next week, so we have lots to do to prepare her special poster.  We also have a bat costume to finalize.  What's on your agenda for this weekend?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

All things striped today!  From floral grids to tribal rainbows, this bundle of geometric goodness is sure to have something for everyone.
~*~

~*~
You get three guesses as to which is my favorite- and the first two guesses don't count!  How about you?  Does one of these jump out at you?
~*~
Besides having movie night at Sophie's school tonight, we don't have anything scheduled for the weekend.  Thank Goodness!  I have a real backlog of cleaning and other projects to get to, so I'm hoping for a low key couple of days around here.  What are your plans for the weekend?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Happy end of the work week for those of you with more traditional job schedules!  The goods this week all come from vintage sheets, and they all feature my extra super favorite color: PINK!  I hope you find them as cheery as I do...
~*~

~*~
I've had both #3 and #5 in the yellow colorway, but to see them in pink is heavenly!
~*~
I have a super special weekend planned.. a two-night getaway with six of my best college buddies.  I haven't seen one of them in over twenty years!  Take a peek at the 1855 "castle" where we'll be staying by clicking HERE :)

What are your big plans for the next couple of days?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

I am anything but "blue" over here after the success of the PTA sponsored picnic last night.  But, I do have some lovely blue hues to share this week, all from vintage sheets.

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

I suspect that yard sale season is winding down in VA, because there have been loads of goodies at the thrift stores recently.  I can hardly keep up!  Oh, who am I kidding?  I'm not keeping up at all!!  But, in the spirit of trying, here are some bright beauties for you:
~*~

~*~
All of these come from vintage sheets.  The top one is Vera Neumann!  I love the patchy Raggedy Ann dog in the bottom one, don't you?
~*~
Here's hoping you have some fun plans in store for the weekend.  We have a full day of Six Flags amusement park tomorrow for hubby's company picnic.  Barring any pouring rain, we should have a blast!  Sunday is going to be catch up day with chores, but Sophie is hoping to get to Game Stop to spend her responsibility points.  The new Mario 3ds game is calling her name :)

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Happy Friday!  Today is Sophie's last full Friday at school- next Friday is her last day and they get out early.  I'm planning a fun-filled summer for us, and looking forward to having a helper with my crafting and  thrift trips.  {Don't get me wrong, I'm also looking forward to flying solo this last week, too.}
~*~

~*~
It has been tough thrifting for sheets these last few weeks.  With yard sale season in full swing, there are slim pickings in the shops.  I do love that first one here, though- I think I"ll call it cantaloupe party!
~*~
It promises to be a fun, busy weekend around here with visitors, baseball games, canoe trips and more!  I hope to get in with some highlights before Monday.  What do you have going on in your neck of the woods?

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

Oh my goodness!  The fabrics I have to share today are GOR.GEE.US!!!  I can't believe I found even one of them, let alone four:
~*~

~*~
Sick, right?  The second one down is 100% cotton, too!  The last one... the LOVE one?  I couldn't get over its mod grooviness.  I was thrashing around in the thrift aisle with that one, madly checking for the tag to make sure it was real vintage and not some new-fangled lookalike.  Yeah baby- total 70s.
~*~
I had something awesome happen the other day, and I just have to share!  Anyone who's been reading over the last few months knows I'm working hard to find my way back to my slim self.  Well, as I grew bigger and bigger over the years, I slowly donated my "thin" clothes as I grew more certain that I'd never fit into them again.  I'm at a point where most of my pants are way too big.  I've been belting them and hoping to just limp along until it gets warm enough to just buy new capris/shorts for the summer.
~*~
So, as I was moving some things around in my laundry room the other day, a glimpse of khaki peeked out at me from the bottom of my "iron these things someday" pile.  Further investigation turned up not one, not two, but FOUR pairs of bottoms that now fit me!  Manna from heaven!  It was like finding money in your pocket, but better!  Happy dance, happy dance!  I realize this says quite a bit about the state of my laundry room, since I know I haven't worn these pants for about 3 years, lol!  Don't judge me, OK?  ;)

Friday's Favorite Fabric Finds

TGIF!  Here are a few new/old fun prints for your viewing pleasure.  These will be in sosovintage later today:

Pink with a hummingbird
~*~
These colors remind me of the winter holidays... they are coming, you know.
~*~
Daffodils and dots
~*~
Yves St. Laurent geometric goodness
~*~
And my favorite for the week... I adore the heart shaped leaves and stunning colors!
~*~
We are having some major rain today, so the *Panda picnic* has been rescheduled.  Be sure to come back tomorrow for a funny photo that I snapped today.  Have yourself a great weekend!!
