Makeover Monday: 9/10

~*~
One of my good friends found this adorable button fabric in her stash, and asked me to make something for her to give as a gift to a button-loving friend.

~*~
She wanted a "loopy bowl" so that the buttons would show.  It didn't come out to be as large as we had hoped, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in personality!  I hope it will be loved :)

The Craft Challenge Finale is creeping up, but there is still plenty of time to enter and get your craft on!  Read details HERE.  If you end up with more than one entry- all the better.  I'll need photos and a short description (your name, project description, pantone colors used, and any additional details) by September 16th.  Don't hesitate to comment here or send me a message if you have questions!!

  1. OMG!! I didn't expect to see this here until Christmas! LOL!

I love it and so will my friend. Maybe I'll get small buttons to match the ones on the material and sew them on at a few spots. What do you think?

It's fantastic, Jennie! Thanks so much!

  2. Love your loopy bowl Jennie/Karen :o)

Those little loop buttons are so sweet!

I've re-started my challenge piece twice already. With two different sets of colours!
I'm hoping to get Gems to do it too, but she has a heavy work/school project at the moment, so we'll have to see :o)

    Happy evening our jennie xxOOxx

  3. I LOVE LOVE LOVE those loops, Jennie! Still can't figure out how they're made. Are the loops worked after the bowl is constructed?

  4. Victoria- No- the loops are worked as you go. I wish it weren't so darned hard to describe. Maybe I should make a video!

  6. Karen- Sewing buttons on it would make it extra special- what a great idea! You're full of them- which is far better than being full of "it" hehe.
