Special Day

Today is Mom's birthday!  We spent it looking for shells at the beach, trying somewhere new for lunch, and having a blast at the arcade in the evening.  It's always a little weird to have your birthday when you're away from home, but it makes it kind of extra exciting, too.  Here are a few shots from our day at the beach

Tomorrow is our last day of vacation.  We have a full day planned- beach in the morning and a dolphin cruise in the evening.  Here's hoping we get some cute dolphin photos to share- I know a special someone who really loves them :)

Thursday's Treasure

~*~
And this is just the envelope!  I have much to be thankful for today, and much to look forward to as well.  Today and all days, be sure to hug your people close and tell them how much they mean to you!

Happy Happy Day

On this day six years ago, my baby girl was born.  My Budgie, my Squishy, my Soso, my Bubby, my love.
I xoxo heart you, you are my best!

And, on this day four years ago, I signed up for an Etsy account and changed my life.  Dramatic but true!

So, a big thanks to all who have helped me through my mothering adventure so far.  Thanks, too, to all who have helped make my Etsy time both enjoyable and successful.  I couldn't have done either thing without you!

Makeover Monday: 6/6

Hehe.  For this very special "It's my birthday!" makeover edition, I chose a fun fabric that you just don't see every day.  I knew this one would be a prime example of how I tell customers to look only at the colors of a fabric versus the pattern when making material selections.
~*~

The fabric insisted on folding over as I worked, giving me far more of the back side of this sheet.  This happens quite often with jersey knit.  I still like the way it turned out, but it is different than I envisioned it.  Maybe that's my lesson for this year- to not get too attached to the way I think things will (or heaven forbid *should*) look like or be, and just accept and appreciate them for however they are or will be.
