Knit Bomb

~*~
I'm still wading through photos from the weekend, but I wanted to share this with you tonight!  As we were walking back to our hotel along the streets of downtown Baltimore, Mike and I spied this yarn-bombed bench.  This is the first graffiti of this type that I have ever seen in person, and I must say, I quite enjoyed it.  Have you ever experienced a knit bomb in person?  Participated in one?  If you'd like to know a bit more about this movement, here's a fun article I found on Apartment Therapy.  Hope your weekend has been the bomb so far!  Sorry- couldn't resist!

Makeover Monday: 7/30

We spent Saturday at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Our intention was to go to the National Aquarium, but the crowds were insane. They actually were only letting people in in 2 hour increments. We decided there were plenty of other things to do, and that we would either do the aquarium during the week sometime or wait til the fall.

It was a very hot day, so we were thrilled to happen upon this little water park for Sophie.  We said, sure, go in.  Just don't get totally soaked.  You know where this is going, right?

She tried so hard to stay dry.

But those crazy fountains just kept going up and down.  And it felt so good!

The *trying to stay dry* bit soon went right out the window, and a blast was had.

A little drenching never hurt anyone, right?  I have more crazy goings on from Baltimore to share later this week.  Until then, stay cool!!
