Art Show: Proud Mom Alert

Sophie had not one but TWO works of art selected for exhibit at the 43rd annual Prince William County Schools Arts Festival 2013!  We attended the festival today and were blown away by the talent showcased from every PWC school, grades K-12.  I told Sophie we should have brought a notebook with us to write down all of the cool ideas for things to create.  Here are her beautiful entries:

Color Mixing Birds
~*~

Texture Owl
~*~
Sophie will also receive a Festival Certificate awarded by her art teacher.  In addition to visual arts, there were dance, music and theatre performances throughout the event.  I know my girl felt very proud to have been chosen to exhibit, and a fun time was had by us both.  Can't wait for these to come home and be displayed on the walls of our home :)

Karen- your "url" cracked me up. These people are getting out of control!! Now I know you know I can't part with the original, but if I can figure out how to make a print of her birds I will let you know. She's going to freak out when I tell her that someone wants to "buy" her work!!!

I've been using Blogspots spam button for those and it's been working! Give it a try.

Okay, I can totally understand you not wanting to part with the originals, so a print will do! I hope you can get them framed up for her, they are wonderful! Maybe a new Etsy shop on the horizon!

What's with all the mumbo jumbo stuff on your blog....a bunch of people not familiar with how a blog post works or just exhibiting some sort of mental deficit or is this just an online technological mix up? Annoying to we followers!
