Thursday's Treasure

Sometimes I can't get as much done as I'd like simply because there isn't enough time in the day. But other times, I don't get things done because I have something way more exciting going on than the usual *day to day*. Yesterday was one of those times!
~*~
I had to take a hiatus from my clearing out project (darn!) because we had visitors who needed the guestroom last night. I cleared out the space to make way for my parents, who came to stay with us for a couple of days for the special occasion of.... drumroll.... wait for it.... going to see the Harlem Globetrotters!
~*~
Ever since Sophie became a Scooby Doo fan, she has been enamored with the Globetrotters who appear on several of the episodes. As a Christmas gift, my parents found out when the team was coming to town, and last night was the big night. We had SO much fun- that was definitely my treasure for the week.
~*~
But, this large Lady Buxton dressertop jewelry case ranks up there too. I found this last week at the Salvation Army- it was marked $8.99, but it happened to be 20% off day, so I paid $7.20. It is in fabulous condition, so while I paid more than I'd have liked, I just couldn't pass it by.
~*~
So, today I'm trying to play catch up. I have fabric to cut, an odd sized box to drum up for shipping a tray, and of course, the makeover project to work on. And what are you up to?

Sounds like you have been busy, but also having fun, which is all that matters !!!

I am spending today designing an "Alice In Wonderland" inspired Dog Sweater, and Snugs Fingerless Gloves !!
They will be very "Tim Burton" if you know what I mean..... nothing elaborate, just cute !

I can't wait to see Monday's Makeover !!

Ooh, the Harlem Globetrodders--my husband ALWAYS wanted to see them. He's reiterating this point to me right now, while typing this!

You mentioned to me getting a "big girl bed" for Sophie--when Catherine and Glenn Jr. turned 4 years old, that's when we got them their big kid beds too!
