Makeover Monday: 9/19

Well, I'm excited to see a few new sosorosey followers- welcome!  For those who don't know, the first photo here is the curtain fabric that my customer wanted me to match.  The last photo shows the fabrics I chose to work with.  I had so many photos to share for today's makeover, I decided to play around with the bighugelabs mosaic maker (again).  I'm very pleased with the way this keeper came out, and I sure hope my customer is, too.

This is shaping up to be a "school filled" week.  Back-to-School night is Tuesday, where I get to go in and find out all about the class rules, routines, etc.  Then on Friday, we have a "panda picnic" at the school from 5-7.  My folks will be joining us for that, and then staying for the weekend to celebrate Mike's birthday.  He doesn't officially turn 48 until the 26th, but this way we can all have some fun together.  What do you have going on this week?

Keeper Base: Check!

I have made huge progress on the colorful keeper that I posted about the other day. Working on this is hypnotic, and I just keep wanting to do more to see what the next row will look like! The body is now finished, moving on to the lid...

Keeper in Progress

Gosh, I've missed you! Life has been on the very crazy side, and blogging just had to take a back seat for a bit. But, I'm back, and excited to share what I've done on my new custom item.

The top photo is from my customer; it represents the colors she would like incorporated in her project keeper.

After lots of messages back and forth, these are the fabrics that were finally chosen. My customer would like an emphasis on greens and golds/yellows, but other than that, I have "artistic license" on color placement and design.

Here is what I have completed so far! This is 12" wide, and serves as the base of the keeper. I LOVE this color combination- it is so modern and fresh!

Lidded Project Keeper: Check!

One of my very, very best customers is a fellow crocheter! She has so many orders and projects that she probably has a hook in her hand more often than not. To help keep her projects organized and secure, she ordered herself a custom lidded project keeper in blues and greens. Didn't this turn out pretty? Check out more pictures HERE.
