WIP Wednesday

~*~
I've been toiling away with my pattern pile this week, and I now have 6 of them ready to list sometime today.  I've started with the children's patterns, and it seems that most of the ones I have are from 1969. Maybe I bought them because they remind me of my own era!

Still waiting for things to dry out around here in order to get planting. In the meantime, I've developed a whole new craft obsession. It's a secret for now, but get ready for some big news in the coming weeks!

I'm a little embarrassed to share this last WIP. My sosovintage facebook page. So far it's a pathetic little shell of a page- standing as testament to my social-media-challenged self. But, if I can lose 28 pounds (!!!!), I can get this figured out. It would help boost my enthusiasm if anyone out there would like to "like" me. I do plan to offer special facebook deals and coupon codes once I get in the groove.  Oh, sheesh- I'm starting to sound a tad desperate aren't I?  Well, now that your expectations are in the right place, you can click HERE to visit my construction site.  Any tips on using facebook to connect with your shop are much needed and appreciated!

WIP Wednesday

I have no earthly idea why it took me so many years to start a weekly "work in progress" post- there is always something new going on around here! So Gemini, lol.

This little something is what I've been working on when my back needs a break from cutting hay bale covers.  (I have 30 cut... 15 more to go, so it's looking really good for having them finished before the May15th promise date.)  This project *looks* like the pot holder/trivet from sosorosey, but it is actually going to be something different.  Any ideas?

My other work in progress is turning this mound of candy bars...

 ... these bags and ribbon...

... and tags into 75 goody bags to be given out from the PTA for teacher appreciation week.  I just need to rev up into assembly line mode (when I am not hungry in the least) and crank these out!  US people, don't forget to especially appreciate your teachers May 7th-11th :)

What work do you have in progress this week?  What have you finished lately?

WIP Wednesday

~*~
My neutral rug from last week has had to take a backseat to a new WIP!  Remember THIS wedding with the hay bale seating from last summer?  Well, I'm lucky enough to have another bunch of hay bales to outfit for a June 2012 wedding.  Ester from Massachusetts fell in love with the neutral bale covers that she found in THIS blog post.  She'll be tying hers with twine, though- won't that be perfect?  These are the fabrics I've gathered so far.  Once they are approved, I'll get to start the cutting process.

And here we have a mystery WIP that I started last night.  It is something I have been wanting to make for a very long time.  Any guesses?  Barring any crazy happenings around here tonight, I plan to finish this and showcase it with her *sister* tomorrow.

WIP Wednesday

I really love to see photos of what other people are working on, so I thought I'd share my WIP (work in progress) with you!
~*~
I've been working on this neutral round rug since before Easter.  Very off and on, though.  It measures almost two and a half feet in diameter as of last night.  I have a special idea in mind for this one, and I'm hoping I have the patience to get her to at least 4 feet across.  Wish me luck!

Moving On Up

The heirloom toy bucket is really coming along. Here she is now at almost 7" high. Don't you worry about all of those ends you see inside the bucket- they will be woven in when I finish. Just about time to do the handles...
