Seeing Stars

Nope, not a Brangelina sighting. The stars I'm seeing are the more magical, 5 pointed variety!

I was recently asked to make organic star appliques for a boy snuggle set. Upon investigating and trying out different patterns, I hit on one that I really liked. After I finished the ones for the photographer, I got out some of my favorite shabby chic roses fabric and proceeded to whip up an upcycled star!

Now, I know I have a special attraction for the star shape. I have collected them for a few years (I know, me with a collection? Shocker!!), and have my favorites hung as the border around my upstairs powder room. It is so whimsical and fun, it nevers fails to delight!

My question, though, is this...Might other people like stars as much as I do? Should I add these to my shop? As singles, or sets of 3? They are large, about 8" in diameter, but very lightweight. The cost would be $8 for one. Your thoughts are VERY welcome...please consider leaving a comment with your opinion :)

Gorgeous! You should *absolutely* add them to your shop. I have an affinity for stars as well. They are just so simple, peaceful, and whimsical. I love them. Wonderful job on the star, as always. :-)

Gosh, thank you Angela and Kristine for the support and quick responses!

I think I'm going to go for it once I get 5 decent photos :)

It is a fun creation Jennie. You should add it to your store. I have your mini wreaths and they are so cute! I am sure, these stars will make good decorations too :).
I don't know if its a corny idea, but you could do something like, "You are my STAR" for Valentine's Day

That is so cool! Who would have thought that you could make such a crisp shape with crochet! :)

They would make very nice sun catchers, too. I know that they wouldn't light up like glass, but the little hole in the middle would make them look neat hanging in front of a sunny window. :)

Great idea for Valentine's day, Deb! I'm a little late for this year, but maybe next! Or I was thinking as a congrats gift, too.

Thanks, Julia- I think that is what I will do!

SJ- I know! I was surprised at how well it turned out- now I'm kind of obsessed. Cool idea about hanging in a window...I had the same thought, that they would look pretty hanging from a curtain rod! Great minds, I tell ya!

Jennie, I agree, do both singles and sets of 3. That way if someone wants to buy a bunch of different ones they can. KWIM ;) Besides I think one of your stars would look great behind the angel that I got from you.
