Happy Housewarming

My good friend from college had us over for dinner last night- to the new home that she and her husband just built. Having never been there, I didn't know what colors she had in her kitchen. I decided to go with something bright and fun for this vintage inspired housewarming potholder. A little violet never hurt anyone, right? I'm inspired to make some of these for sosorosey, in classic 40's, 50's, and 60's kitchen colors. Crocheting with size 10 thread is a challenge for my fingers, but the end result is worth it!

Apparently I was signed in as my husband- I wish he would learn to stay off my computer- My Original comment:

Your Pot holder is so Cute- I was going to knit some but thought I should leave it to those in the know. I would love to see them in your shop.

Cheers, Megan

I love the violet colour Jennie, and I think these would look fab in your shop.

I too have trouble crocheting in what I call skinny threads :0)..It seems to take aagggeees!
I like to bunch all my skinny threads together (I still don't know where/why I bought them lol) and make a nice, chunky thread :0)

Have a great week jennie xxxoooxxx

Beautiful color!! I keep meaning to crochet some of those and some dish cloths too. Did you use 100% cotton or a blend?

Lol, Megan- I did wonder who this knitting guy Jeff was- thanks for clearing that up :)

Cerise- all cotton for me. I have a weird aversion to acrylic and blends, unless the yarn is super fancy fiber. And then, that's only for scarves. Dishcloths and washcloths I could never use anything but cotton. That's just a me-quirk though, I'm sure.
