Wow. What a shocker to hear that R.E.M. is calling it a day. I got caught up listening to some of their old songs today, and it sent me into a strange high school reverie. I remember standing in line at a record store to meet these guys. Got my photo taken with Peter Buck. Went to several concerts. Blasted Murmur on the record player and played the cassette as loud as it would go in my 76 Pontiac LeMans. Ah, those were the days. Hope this brings you some happy memories, too.
