Makeover Monday: 4/5

One of my Etsy teams is hosting a big giveaway at the end of this month. Lots of members are donating items to put in a large basket, and I decided I'd better create my contribution while I had the time. The theme of the event is "spring", so I began by choosing this vintage floral fabric.

I wanted to make something that would be useful to the winner. So, at the risk of being boring, I went with a bowl.
~*~ I added a special touch, though...two little finger slots on either side. They give it a real "pot o' gold" cachepot shape. It is 6.5" wide and 4" high.
~*~ Happy Monday to you!

Special note: I have not forgotten about the craft room makeover. I got sidetracked from my progress with our trip preparations (and life), but I'll be getting back to work on it soon enough. After long consideration, I have grouped the tasks necessary by order of importance. See, it isn't just a matter of creating a crafty space- would that it were! First I need to create actual space by cleaning out 2 large storage closets before I can even tackle the room. I won't bore you with the details- just wanted you to know where I am with the *big dig*.

This bowl is really pretty Jennie. Love the little finger handles.
Pleased you haven't forgotten about your clear-out... ;)
This week, I'm definately going to actually start my blog, I've been looking at the little empty text boxes long enough!
Take care Jennie,
Kind regards,
Donna

BORING?!?! Jennifer! How dare you. Your bowls are always so creative, fun, and useful. I love the little finger slots. Well done! :-)

I understand the step by step process of the "big dig." So much more work always goes into a project--no matter how big or small. Glad to hear that it's still in the works though.

I don't have a designated craft room/area. Just an old antique secretary desk where I keep my yarn and miscellaneous items. Crocheting is a great take along activity--as you already know!

this bowl looks wonderful, love those little handles on the sides. And yup I totally understand the cleaning process, good luck, can't wait to see the before and after pics though.

p.s. I'm not sure why my blogpost does not show at realtime on your blog, sometimes I schedule some of my post ahead of time but always making sure that time and date are right when I want the post to appear, so not so sure why it's doing that, hmmm.
