Thursday's Treasure

I found a clear bag filled with these miniature books at the thrift store.  They staple these bags shut, so while I could see what was inside, I couldn't really "see" what was there.  For 90 cents, I gambled.

Brought 'em home and how about that- all 12 are here, in perfect condition!  I'm a little confounded by these, though.  Need to do some research.  The copyright dates of the original stories are printed on the back covers of these, but it doesn't say anywhere when these actual little books were made.  I'm not parting with them anytime soon, though.  ;)

Oh aren't they sweet! I love the title of that first book...The 'Porky' little puppy! :o) What a sweetie.

Hoping you had a fab island visit today!

So cute--Catherine got one of these little books in a birthday party goody bag about six years ago. Why do I remember this so well? Because it was just so darned cute to see a tiny version of a Golden Book!

I doubt they're old/vintage, but they do have that appeal. Hey, how about crocheting some sweet little pocket or pouch to put them all in and sell it in your shop? Good idea? Hope you like.

Once again, sorry I haven't been around. I was a bit preoccupied and a bit under the weather.

Little Golden Books! The icon of my childhood! "The Poky Little Puppy" is adorable. :-) Great find!

The Poky little puppy was one of my daughters fav books when she was little! It was so obviously American with the strawberry shortcake and she loved it as it was different!
