Throwing In The Towel

I need ways to expedite listing in sosovintage. I have SO much inventory that I often get so overwhelmed with the task of taking photos and writing descriptions that I just...go shopping for more goodies instead. This must stop.
~*~
Even my husband, normally exceedingly patient with my piles of *treasures*, rolled his eyes when I came home from thrifting the other day and said, "Woohoo, more stuff". He was not excited. And most of my "stuff" from THAT trip was in the car! Needless to say, it stayed there til he went to work the next day.
~*~
So, my new plan is to try to photograph and list like items in clumps. I can stage the photos similarly, crop and edit without too much brain strain, and list them in the same format. Here's hoping this works!
~*~
I decided to start with an easy project to bolster my motivation. These are just some of the vintage towels that will be coming to the shop soon!
~*~

Pair of pink fleur de lis and faux weave St. Mary's bath towels

~*~

Turquoise and avocado "Terri-down" by Martex bath towel
~*~

Minty-jadite green roses Martex handtowel
~*~

Avocado and white flowered Sears, Roebuck & Co. "Drylon" facecloth
~*~

Fab, fab, fab untagged terry bath towel
~*~

What do you think of my plan? Do you have any words of wisdom for me? Can you sympathize with my issue? Please leave a comment!

we're on the same boat, it's so much easier and more fun to keep shopping for stuff than listing.. I have hundreds of item that I have to still photograph and list, but what do I do instead? go shopping for more. I need help!

Oh can I sympathize!! First...I love thrift/antique shops. Secondly: I have bought WAY more vintage quilts, etc. for my Santas and Rabbits than I can use. But....my favorite "get-away" when I'm feeling overwhelmed with my business is to go shopping for more!! I think we have a sickness!! LOL! I know I should open a vintage shop on Etsy...but I HATE the time needed to photograph and list. I'm right there with you!!

First of all, let me say I have enjoyed reading your blog for the last few weeks, and always enjoy seeing your new projects.

I can completely relate to your dilemma of needing to get the stock photos taken and published, but really wanting to do the fun stuff instead.

I find for me that I need to spend most of the day photographing and editing photos in big batches. Then I can put the items up on my site a little bit at a time.

Thank you for all your hard work. You have been an inspiration to me!
