Ready to Rug

When setting out to make a custom rag rug for someone, the first step is gathering fabrics in the desired color family. Once the fabrics are all washed and approved, the next step is trimming them of all hems and selvage and dividing the pieces into sections. The number of sections is based loosely on the size of the rug and the overall "look" one is going for. After that, the different fabrics in each section need to be put in order of appearance. Only when all of these things are accomplished am I ready to cut the fabric into strips and actually crochet the piece. That's where I am now with the 15 fabrics pictured here- ready to rug! Let the fun begin!

Can't wait to see the finished rug:0)
I love looking at pictures of before and after. I think it gives a bigger sense of achievement :)
Especially if you've got some fabric left and can place the finished object next to the fabric too:)
have a great weekend Jennie.
Love n hugs,

Hello there! SO I found my way over here to your little rosey place. Lovely! I just received the shipment from you today and I am delighted! Beside myself with anticipation to get started on this particular quilt in mind. That was quick and your surprise bundle of flower power fabrics were absolutely fab!!! So happy! :D

I have signed up to become a follower and will browse though your little world more later. Right now dinner is coming u and after I will start placing my retro squares on my design wall. This weekend I hope to get some piecing done. Very curious about this rug thing. I always wanted to make rugs and bowls but never got that far. Had some problems with my arm for a while and just got back into crocheting.

Okay, stop the rumbling. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll pop over soon again. Thanks!
Annette
