One of Those Nights

~*~
I know that all parents out there have had these nights.  The night when your child is suddenly and horribly sick and it seems like the entire ordeal will never end.  The fear of what's happening multiplied by the blackness outside, the quiet of everyone else in the world sleeping peacefully.  That was my night last night, and I can say there aren't many occasions where I've been happier to see the sun rise.  Everything seems a little less scary in the light of day.
~*~
Now, the carpets are cleaned, 5 million loads of wash are done, Sophie has been bathed and is resting, and I've even showered.  We're all waiting with baited breath to see how the soup settles.

Oh my goodness.. poor you and Sophie! I remember nights like that so well, and the children do recover - usually much faster than we do! Children can be so ill one minute and then bouncing around the next! That is a lovely quote isn't it.. a bit like the one I like: " This too shall pass"...and it does :)x

Poor Sophie and YOU! Hope the soup did settle my dear, and all's well this evening.
I hope neither you nor hubby get poorly from it...x

Have a restful evening my lovely.
I'm sending you both recuperating hugs. OOOOOO

Oh no! The poor dear! I hope that she recovers soon and whatever it is doesn't linger or spread to you and your husband.
